former Chief of Naval Operations and member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
the late Admiral E. R. Zumwalt, Jr. Provides unique expertise to

Corps Reserve:
Called to active duty in the Marine Corps Reserves. Volunteered for
additional service in northern Iraq to assist in the Kurdish refugee
humanitarian effort, Operation Provide Comfort.
1976-1996 U. S. Marine
Corps Reserve
Retired as Lieutenant Colonel. Recipient of eighteen (18) military
decorations for service in the Vietnam conflict, Panama, Persian Gulf War,
as well as peacetime service.

Corps:
Received an interservice transfer to U.S. Marine Corps. Served as an
infantry platoon and company commander and military police company executive
officer; also served as a staff instructor at various training schools.
Duty stations included Okinawa, with a deployment to Vietnam, and Quantico
Marine Corps Base, Virginia.
1970-1971 U.S. Navy:
Deployment to the Mediterranean as a response force to the Jordanian crisis
of 1970. Served as
Assistant Communications Officer and Intelligence Officer onboard USS LEAHY
(DLG-16), where responsibilities included establishing intelligence center
onboard ship and monitoring Soviet naval activity in the Mediterranean.

Deborah B. Schorr, President |
Prior to founding Zumwalt, Schorr, Hecht,
Lowery & Associates, Ms. Schorr was the managing member of Software 2000+, LLC which
is a successful strategic marketing and consulting firm. Ms. Schorr has
substantial experience in developing strategic relationships and joint
ventures for clients. The services she provides to clients includes
arranging for sales of goods and services on a global basis including
through her extensive network of sub-agents as well as consulting on risk
management issues and assisting in contract negotiations.
As a natural extension of the services
provided by Ms. Schorr, she developed and maintains close relationships with
financial, accounting, legal professionals and decision makers from a
substantial number of Fortune 100, 500 and 1000 corporations. She has
successfully developed and implemented a business development and practice
acquisition program for the accounting profession. She has developed very
close “C” level contacts with 35 qualified and accredited private equity
funds, investment groups and high net-worth individuals that give her
immediate decisions on acquisition candidates presented them. This coupled
with her network of independent associates has created a true full-cycle M&A
deal flow system.
Ms. Schorr has extensive hands-on business
development experience in the consumer products, health care, technology
industries including IT security and a variety of other vertical markets.
Her educational background in psychology and sociology provide her with
unique insights and allow her to be exceptionally effective in rainmaking
for clients.

Ira R. Hecht, Vice President |

Prior to founding Zumwalt, Schorr, Hecht &
Lowery, Mr. Hecht was a partner at McGuireWoods LLP and co-chairman of
the Internet & Technology Practice Group headquartered in the firm’s New
York office. Mr. Hecht’s multi-disciplinary background as a business
attorney, certified public accountant and software developer allows him to
bring a broad range of value-added expertise to his clients. In addition to
his involvement in Zumwalt, Schorr, Hecht, Lowery & Associates; Mr. Hecht also
maintains a legal practice. Mr. Hecht
provides highly focused and creative advice on the creation, structuring,
acquisition, financing, expansion and sale of privately held and
publicly-traded businesses, negotiation and implementation of sophisticated
business transactions as well as creative asset protection mechanisms.
Mr. Hecht’s legal experience has been heavily focused in the following
areas: captive insurance, computer and Internet law, corporate finance and
securities, corporate and business law, domestic and international taxation,
insurance law, mergers and acquisitions as well as the protection and
licensing of intellectual property. His extensive negotiating skills
as well as knowledge of business operations and legal issues enables him to
provide the highest level of focused advice and hands-on assistance.
Mr. Hecht has assisted several
nationally-recognized organizations in developing and implementing pure and
group captive insurance programs as alternatives to commercial insurance.
Mr. Hecht advises organizations regarding the optimum captive insurance
company ownership structure as well as the most attractive offshore or
domestic domicile for a captive insurance company.

Dennis M. Lowery,
Vice President |

Mr.
Lowery provides an extraordinary level of operations and business building
experience and success. As Chief Executive Officer and President of Adducent, Inc. he
has consulted for and worked with many business executives in assisting them
with their business and venture projects; projects that range from business
expansion, consolidation and mergers and acquisitions.
As an investor or principal, over the past
nineteen
years, Mr. Lowery has been involved with the start-up, merger, acquisition
and/or divestiture of several private businesses in various industries. At the public company
level as manager or consultant Mr. Lowery has been involved with several business acquisition projects that involved field due diligence, relocation
and integration responsibilities to support the successful
completion of the acquisition or merger.
Mr. Lowery has twenty-two years of business
management & business development experience in services, manufacturing &
logistics operations.
Fourteen of those years with very specific
project management experience that includes program management, budgetary,
resource, capacity planning, scheduling, management and communications
responsibility for company personnel, project vendors and contractors on
multi-million dollar projects. Mr.
Lowery is a member of The Project Management Institute and a veteran of the
United States Navy.
Mr.
Lowery has a resource network of intermediaries, professionals and
approximately 40 Finders spread throughout the United States, Canada, Great
Britain, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Australia and China. These
Finders are geared to source Merger & Acquisition and business
opportunities. Through that network and other direct contacts developed this
unit has been trained and focused to provide sell-side deal flow. |
